Editing Panels & Buttons

Modify an existing case panel without starting over. Update the embed, change button labels and colors, edit intake form fields, re-post to Discord, or move the panel to a different channel.

Open Support Inbox Panel

What is this?

The same wizard you used to build a panel, with every field pre-populated from the saved configuration. Reopen any existing panel to change the embed, button labels and colors, intake form fields, or destination channel. Saves apply immediately; you can re-post the updated panel to Discord without losing case-channel history.

Why you might want it

For the panel you put up six months ago that's missing a button now. A new staff role needs to be added, a category has split, the intake form was missing an obvious question. Editing is faster than rebuilding, and the previous version's case channels keep working.

Setup time: under 5 minutesDifficulty: Easy. Most users get through it first try.

Select a Panel

1

Open the Panel List

Navigate to Support Inbox Panel in the dashboard sidebar. Every existing panel appears as a compact card showing the embed title, accent color bar, channel, and button count. A small Discord-style preview makes it easy to identify the panel you want.

2

Click a Panel to Edit

Click any panel card to open the full editor. The editor is the same wizard used during creation, with every field pre-populated from the saved configuration: channel, title, color, description, sections, fields, author, styling, and all buttons.

Modify the Embed

3

Update Basic Settings

Change any of the top-level fields:

  • Channel — Move the panel to a different channel by picking a new one from the dropdown
  • Title — Rename the embed (max 256 characters)
  • Accent Color — Swap colors via preset swatches, the picker, or a hex code
4

Rework the Description

Adjust the intro text, add or remove sections (drag-to-reorder), edit field rows, update the author block, or swap out thumbnail and image URLs. Every change reflects in the live preview on the right.

5

Adjust Footer & Styling

Update the footer (Pro only for custom text; free servers keep the default branding), change the thumbnail URL, or swap the hero image. These values can also be cleared by deleting the URL.

Edit Buttons

6

Expand a Button to Edit

Buttons appear as compact preview cards on the Buttons row. Each card shows the emoji, label, and style. Click Edit on a button to expand its settings; click Done to collapse it back.

7

Update Button Properties

When expanded, you can change:

  • Emoji — Up to 10 characters (Unicode or custom server emoji)
  • Label — Button text, max 80 characters
  • Style — Blue, Gray, Green, or Red
  • Appeal flag — Toggle the button between regular and appeal mode
  • Form Title & Fields — Add, remove, reorder, or rename up to 5 intake form fields
8

Remove or Add Buttons

Click Remove on an expanded button to delete it from the panel (a confirmation appears first). To add another button, click Add Button at the end of the row. Panels support up to 5 buttons.

⚠️
Warning
Removing a button only affects new cases. Cases that were already opened through that button remain accessible under their original category.

Save & Re-post

9

Save Changes

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the editor. The bot updates the existing Discord message in place, and a toast confirms "Panel updated". Because the message ID stays the same, any pinned references continue to work.

10

Re-post (When Needed)

If the original message was deleted from Discord or you moved the panel to a new channel, the editor offers a Re-post action. Re-post sends a fresh message; the panel's configuration stays the same.

💡
Tip
For small copy tweaks (title, description, button label), use Save. It keeps the same message and avoids notification spam in channels where users watch the panel for updates.
11

Move to a Different Channel

To move a panel, change the Channel dropdown to the new destination and save. The bot posts a new message in the target channel; you'll need to manually delete the original message from the old channel to avoid duplicates.
