Open Players

What is this?

A fuzzy search across every player Arkanis has seen in your server. Type a Discord username, Discord ID, Steam ID (SteamID64 or vanity URL), or Alderon ID; partial matches surface instantly. Click a row to open the player's full passport with linked accounts, strike history, ban status, and risk score.

Why you might want it

For the player on three servers who you remember banning once but can't find by name. They changed their Discord username, but you have a fragment of their Steam ID from an old log line, or one of their Alderon IDs. The lookup matches across every linked identifier so you find them on the first try.

Setup time: immediate (no setup required)Difficulty: Easy. Most users get through it first try.

Review the Results

Matching players appear instantly as you type. Each result shows the Discord username, avatar, and any linked game identities that matched your query. Click a row to open the full Player Passport.

4

Open the Player Passport

The passport is a full-page view of the player's identity. From here you can jump directly to enforcement actions, inspect linked accounts, or copy any ID to the clipboard.

💡
Tip
Partial matches work across all fields. Typing the first few digits of a Steam ID or the first few characters of a Discord name will surface all players whose identifiers contain those characters.

The Player Passport

Every player in Arkanis has a passport: a unified profile that ties together all their identities and enforcement history. When you open a player's passport, it shows:

  • Discord identity: username, display name, avatar, user ID, and join date.
  • Linked IDs: all connected accounts (Discord, Steam, Alderon, Xbox). Each shows verification status (OAuth, in-game, or self-reported).
  • Strike history: every strike ever issued, with category, severity, issuing moderator, reference ID, and expiry status.
  • Ban status: whether the player is currently banned, and if so, the reason, duration, and date.
  • Risk score: a composite 0–100 score that reflects the player's overall enforcement history. Higher scores indicate more problematic behavior.
  • Notes: moderator-added notes for context that doesn't fit into formal strikes.
ℹ️
Note
The risk score is calculated automatically based on active strikes, their severity, and recency. It updates whenever enforcement actions change.

Looking Up Players from Discord

You can also look up players directly from Discord using the Player panel. Open it with /player panel and select an action from the dropdown.

1

Run the Command

Type /player panel in any channel Arkanis has access to. The panel appears as an ephemeral message only you can see.

2

Pick an Action

From the dropdown, choose Look Up Player (Admin). For self-lookup, choose View My IDs (Self-Service).

3

Enter an Identifier

A modal prompts you for an identifier: Discord mention, Discord ID, Steam ID, or Alderon ID. Submit the form.

4

Review the Passport Summary

Arkanis returns a summary embed with linked accounts, verification status, active strike count, and ban status. Use the dashboard for full detail.

💡
Tip
Player lookup responses are ephemeral by default. Only the person who ran the command can see the result, which keeps player information private during moderation.
