The Garage

ProAdd-on

Players store a dino as a voucher and restore it later, exactly as it was, onto whatever they are playing. Staff see every voucher, its condition when stored, and can delete or transfer it.

What is this?

A vault for dinos. Storing captures the live animal in full and takes it off the server as a voucher; restoring builds it again from the voucher. Players do it from the Garage panel in Discord, from their dashboard, or by typing in game chat.

Why you might want it

A crash, a scheduled restart or a wipe should not cost a player days of growth. The Garage is insurance, and the store rules are the anti-abuse wall: nobody stores mid-fight, nobody comes back bigger than they left.

Setup time: none once the plugin runs; rules are tuned in Integration SettingsDifficulty: Easy. Most users get through it first try.

Storing a dino

Storing reads everything about the live dino and then kills it, so there is exactly one copy. The voucher records:

  • species, growth, sex, and whether it is an apex
  • health, stamina, hunger, thirst, and its diets
  • mutations, own, inherited and elder, with what each does on hover
  • the ten prime objectives as they stood, and whether it was on the Prime or Frail branch
  • the Skin Studio paint, and the diet percentages the HUD showed
  • where it was left, marked on the live map

Before it stores, the server's rules are checked and the player is told which one refused, in plain words. The rules are per server and tuned in Integration Settings:

  • Minimum growth, with a separate, higher bar for apex species, so a juvenile cannot be banked to skip growing it.
  • Full stamina, health above a floor, food above a floor, so a dino mid-escape or about to starve cannot be stored.
  • Not in combat for a set number of seconds, a safe distance from every other player, and a cooldown between stores.
  • Coming once the plugin reports them: not during storms, and not within a window before a scheduled restart.
  • Apex requires a skin, if the server wants apex banking limited to painted individuals.
⚠️
Warning
Storing is final for the live body. If the plugin cannot read the dino, nothing is killed and no voucher is issued; the player is told why.

Restoring

1

From any dino

A player does not need to spawn as the stored species. Restoring onto a different body swaps the species in place: the plugin builds the stored species at the stored growth and sex where the player is standing, carries the player onto it, and applies the voucher in the same pass. One command, about a second, no relog.

2

Exactly as stored

Vitals, nutrients, mutations, prime flags and paint come back as they were, subject to one server rule: growth on restore is the smaller of the stored growth and the server's restore cap, so a banked full-grown apex cannot be popped back at full for a revenge kill. You never gain growth from storage.

3

What can refuse it

The player must be in-game on the server the voucher belongs to (or on any covered server if transfers are allowed), the voucher must not have expired, and the per-species restore cooldown, which runs from the last store or restore of that species, must have passed. A refused restore changes nothing and the voucher stays safe.

The voucher card

Each voucher has its own page: a 3D render of the dino at its stored growth and life stage, wearing its paint, with the condition, diets, mutations, prime objectives and the species figures at that growth. From the card a player can restore, transfer to another of the guild's servers if the server allows it, open the dino in the Skin Studio, or delete the voucher by typing the species name back. A member does all of this from their own Garage in the member portal, on their own vouchers only, with no staff permission needed; the server's store and restore rules apply exactly as they do in game.

Vouchers expire. The base expiry is a server setting, and a painted dino earns a bonus on top. The countdown is on the card and in the Discord DM the player gets after a store.

For staff

  • The Garage panel lists every voucher in the guild, grouped by server, with the player who owns it.
  • A blacklist blocks named players from storing; combat-storing and revenge-restoring are the usual reasons.
  • Every store, restore, transfer, delete and refusal is written to the vault ledger with the reason, so a dispute can be read back later.
  • A player's Steam account must be linked to their Discord for any of this to work; the Garage tells them so if it is not.
