Link Player Accounts
Connect Discord accounts to in-game identities (Steam, Alderon Games) so your moderation team can track players across platforms.
Open Player Settings →What is this?
How to turn on identity providers (Steam, Alderon Games) and tell your members how to link their game accounts to their Discord. Once linked, a Discord user has a known SteamID or Alderon ID attached to them, and your staff can look them up across both.
Why you might want it
If you've ever had to ask “who is this player in-game?” in Discord, account linking answers that question once instead of every time. Strikes and bans you apply in Arkanis then follow the player across platforms, and lookups work in both directions. Linking is free on every tier.
Enable Identity Providers
Navigate to Player Settings
Open the dashboard and go to Player Settings from the sidebar. This page controls how player identity linking works for your server.
Enable Providers
Toggle on the identity providers your community uses:
- Steam — for games that use SteamID (The Isle legacy, many survival games)
- Alderon Games — for Path of Titans and other Alderon-published titles
You can enable both if your server runs multiple games or platforms.
How Players Link
Using the Player Panel
Once providers are enabled, players in your server can link their accounts using the Player panel. Open it with /player panel and select an action from the dropdown:
Links a Steam or Alderon Games account. The player enters their SteamID64, Steam profile URL, or Alderon ID (e.g., 123-456-789).
Verifies ownership of a linked account through an in-game verification step.
What Linking Enables
Once a player links their account, your moderation team gains powerful cross-platform capabilities:
- Player lookup — search by Discord name, SteamID, or Alderon ID and see the full player profile
- Cross-platform enforcement — strikes and bans applied to a Discord user automatically apply to their linked game accounts
- Activity tracking — see when a player was last online and on which server
- Verified role — automatically assign a Discord role to players who link and verify their identity
