Fields, Author & Images
Add structured fields, author information, thumbnails, and images to your Discord embeds. These optional sections let you create richer, more informative panels.
Open Support Inbox Panel →What is this?
The optional bits of an embed most servers actually use. Fields are inline key-value blocks (response times, hours, language), the author line sits above the title with a small icon, and the thumbnail and image slots take a logo in the corner or a banner across the bottom.
Why you might want it
A panel that just has a title and a paragraph gets ignored. A few well-placed inline fields and a logo make the panel scan-readable in two seconds. You can ignore every option on this page and the panel still works; reach for them when you want the embed to communicate at a glance.
Embed Fields
Fields are structured key-value pairs that appear below the description. They're useful for displaying organized information like support hours, rules, or category details.
Add a Field
Click the + button in the Fields section to add a new field. Each field has three properties:
- Name — the bold label displayed above the field content
- Value — the content of the field, supports Discord markdown
- Inline — a toggle that controls whether the field displays side-by-side with other inline fields or takes the full width
Understand Inline vs Stacked
When Inline is enabled, fields display side-by-side, and up to 3 inline fields fit in a single row. When disabled, each field takes the full width of the embed and stacks vertically.
For example, you might use three inline fields for "Response Time", "Hours", and "Language" so they appear in a compact row. A longer "Rules" field would work better as non-inline so it has room to breathe.
Remove a Field
Click the X button next to any field to remove it. Fields can also be reordered by dragging them into position.
Thumbnail & Image
Add a Thumbnail
The thumbnail is a small image that appears in the top-right corner of the embed. Enter a direct URL to an image file. Thumbnails work well for logos, icons, or small badges.
Add an Image
The image is a large image displayed at the bottom of the embed, spanning the full width. Enter a direct URL to an image file. Images are ideal for banners, screenshots, or promotional graphics.
