Creating Embeds
The embed designer lets you build rich Discord embeds for case panels and role panels. Configure titles, descriptions, colors, and more with a live preview that shows exactly how your embed will appear.
Open Support Inbox Panel →What is this?
A visual editor for the Discord embeds that appear on your support and role panels. Set a title, description, color, and starting preset on the left; the right side shows the exact embed Discord will render, updating as you type.
Why you might want it
Instead of escaping JSON by hand or pasting embeds in from another tool every time you tweak a sentence, you edit the panel where it lives. Presets cover the common cases (general support, bug report, ban appeal, game roles) so you usually just change a line or two of copy and save.
Where the Embed Designer Appears
The embed designer is built into every panel editor across the platform. You'll find it whenever you create or edit:
- Support Inbox Panel — navigate to Support Inbox Panel in the dashboard sidebar, then click Create Support Panel or edit an existing one
- Role Panels — navigate to Moderation Panel in the dashboard sidebar, then create or edit a role panel from the Role Panels section
The designer is always the same regardless of which panel type you're working with. Everything you learn here applies to both case and role panel embeds.
Basic Embed Fields
Set the Title
The title is the bold heading at the top of your embed. It should be short and descriptive, for example "Support Inbox" or "Choose Your Roles". Titles have a maximum length of 256 characters.
Write the Description
The description is the main text body of the embed. This is where you explain what the panel does, list instructions, or provide context for your users. The description supports full Discord markdown formatting and can be up to 4,096 characters long.
Pick a Color
Click the color swatch to open the color picker. The color appears as the vertical accent bar on the left side of the Discord embed. You can enter a hex code directly or choose from the preset swatches for common colors.
Starting from a Preset
Each panel type comes with presets that pre-fill the embed title, description, and color so you don't have to start from nothing.
Case panel presets:
- General Support — a catch-all panel for user questions and issues
- Bug Report — structured for players to report in-game bugs
- Ban Appeal — pre-configured for appeal submissions
- Staff Application — for community members applying for staff roles
- Partnership — for incoming collaboration requests
Role panel presets:
- Game Roles — let users pick which games they play
- Pronouns — self-assignable pronoun roles
- Notifications — opt-in roles for announcements, events, etc.
Live Preview & Discord Limits
The right side of the editor shows a real-time preview of your embed exactly as it will appear in Discord. The preview includes the bot's avatar, a timestamp, and any buttons you've added. Every change you make is reflected instantly.
Discord embed limits to keep in mind:
- Title — 256 characters maximum
- Description — 4,096 characters maximum
- Fields — 25 fields per embed maximum
- Total embed size — 6,000 characters across all text content combined
